“Yuna and Kawachan” began as an independently produced comic written, boarded, and illustrated by Lauren Schmidt. After being green lit as a Webtoon Original series, the comic was revamped, redrawn, and re-released in January 2020. It began as a personal challenge to write a short-story comic and expanded into a full web comic series.
“Yuna & Kawachan” is the story of two friends, Yuna, an 18-year-old girl meets Kawachan, an unknown person in a mascot suit, as they search for rescue and try to survive after unknown monsters invaded their world.
The series is completed and available to read for free exclusively on Webtoon.
